Service and Mission

No church is an island, especially a church located in the heart of a city like Chicago.  And so, Ravenswood UCC is a partner in service with a host of organizations that care for persons in need - around the corner and around the world.

We work with Two Little Fishes feeding program to serve meals to the hungry and homeless in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.  We are establishing a partnership with St. Pauls House to demonstrate our concern for the elderly and the infirm.  We support the Hands and Heart International Medical Mission that provides health care volunteers and resources to the Ohaji Medical Clinic in Nigeria.  We work for justice and social change around issues of race and poverty through our relationship with the Community Renewal Society.
